What people say and how they feel are often very different

Traditional tick-box surveys and questionnaires, that explicitly ask people to share their thoughts, only measure what people are willing to consciously disclose, and are often positively skewed, resulting in ‘rosy’ conclusions. Neurotech® combines explicit methods with implicit techniques that bypass conscious bias and collect data from an automatic, non-conscious response, resulting in an unmoderated, authentic result-set. Comparing both implicit and explicit responses, Neurotech® identifies where people’s feelings do or do not align with what they are saying, accurately pinpointing the areas that businesses need to address.

Neurotech® is the culmination of over 20 years of development involving Neuroscientists, Psychologists, IT Experts and Data Scientists. Originally developed in the laboratory alongside other new and innovative techniques for understanding how the brain works, such as fMRI and EEG, Neurotech® is based on Implicit Reaction Time methodology. This combines two well established scientific and psychological techniques - measuring the brain’s reaction time and using priming methods - this enables us to understand people’s attitudes and not just their words.

The Neurotech® platform is smart. Machine Learning is used to monitor assessments for data stability. This will reveal when reliable conclusions can be drawn - even before an assessment is complete.

Natural Language Processing (NLP)

AI-based sentiment and feature analysis on written responses

An optional feature is to switch on a written form to capture written responses and use NLP to analyse sentiment and identify specific features within the content. This saves a great deal of time and avoids human bias of readers.

Cognitive Dissonance

Cognitive dissonance occurs when we have contradicting beliefs or engage in actions that do not align with our values. This can result in discomfort and a tendency to justify one belief over another, ultimately leading to a sense of guilt or anxiety that goes against our moral compass.

How does Neurotech reveal cognitive dissonance?

Cognitive dissonance is revealed when we:

  • compare conscious, explicit responses and non-conscious, implicit responses

  • measure the difference between what your people tell you versus how your people really feel
